Frank J. Vitale

Frank Vitale is an expert in the turnaround of troubled companies. His diverse finance and operations experience has proven invaluable in rescuing companies undergoing severe problems. His background encompasses both domestic and international organizations with business ranging from the Fortune 100 to the entrepreneurial.

As a consultant, Mr. Vitale has provided financial and operations improvement services and has completed successful assignments for clients in the entertainment, defense, pharmaceutical, printing, and distribution businesses. His expertise includes the revenue cycle, working capital reduction, system conversions, re-engineering, productivity improvement, and due diligence of acquisition and divestiture candidates.

Prior to consulting, Mr. Vitale served as Chief Financial Officer for Seeger, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of the multi-billion dollar Swedish SKF Group. As business partner with the CEO, Mr. Vitale played an instrumental role in the successful turnaround of Seeger, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial fasteners. During his tenure, he significantly reduced working capital, lowered operating expenses, and upgraded systems while returning the business to positive cash flow. These efforts ultimately resulted in the sale of Seeger for a significant gain to the stockholders.

Earlier, Mr. Vitale was Controller for Webcraft Technologies, a $300 million leverage buyout printer that was spun-off from Beatrice Foods. As a fast growing entrepreneurial company, he developed Webcraft's first strategic business plan while installing needed financial procedures and controls.

Mr. Vitale also spent fourteen years with Bestfoods International, a Fortune 100 food processor, with successful assignments in financial analysis, strategic planning, business development and general management. As Director of Financial Analysis, he developed the company's first benchmarking function that was crucial to the turnaround of the industrial corn refining business - a multi-billion dollar division. He later spearheaded the formation of a $200 million joint venture as away of disposing of an obsolete business. As a general manager, he successfully turned around a business unit that had a long history of poor performance.

Mr. Vitale earned his undergraduate degree in engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, his M.S. degree from Brown University, Providence, RI, and his M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
